The 6th Annual Topspin Cup is here! The Cup is a major social
for Topspin and people love playing in it because it is a team format event.
This social takes place over two days: Friday night is a mixer, dinner and team
drawings. Saturday morning we have breakfast and team competition followed by
lunch and an exhibition. This is a huge weekend for all our members so come take
part in this great event.
Listed below is the breakdown of events:
Friday, September 19th 6:30 P.M. - The Topspin Cup begins with a social and
dinner. During dinner the teams will be randomly drafted but still keeping
levels and genders in mind to keep it competitive. The draft is usually very
exciting because people find out who their team is going to be and also because
the betting starts for the Calcutta.
Saturday, September 20th 8:45 A.M. - In the morning, after a light breakfast, play will begin around 9:30 after a 10 minute warm-up. The team competition will be a round robin event where every team plays each other once. Teams keep track of their points throughout the day and at the end the team with the most points wins. Each match will be played in a tie break format to a certain point scale determined by the number of teams. The team with the most points at the end of the day will be crowned Champion of the 6th Annual Topspin Cup.
To finish the day, we will have an exhibition during lunch on Saturday after the team competition. Call 951-8851 for more information or to sign-up.
